Colours can be both light and dark. The most common light and dark colours are blue and green.
In colour theory, colours are arranged into three groups: primary, secondary and tertiary colours. Secondary colours are made by mixing two primary colours, tertiary colours are made by mixing a primary and secondary colour or two secondary colours.
- Primary colours: yellow, red and blue.
- Secondary colours: orange (yellow + red), purple (red + blue) and green (blue + yellow)
- Tertiary colours: vermillion (red + orange), magenta (red-purple), violet (purple + blue), teal (blue + green), chartreuse (yellow + green), and amber (yellow + orange).
